About Esin Değirmencioğlu, Drawn to Her Artist

Esin Değirmencioğlu is the artist and founder of Drawn to Her, a creative practice exploring women, the female gaze, and the beauty of being seen as we already are.

Based in Highland Park, New Jersey, Esin has maintained a daily art practice since May 14, 2024. Her growing body of work celebrates women of different ages, bodies, identities, and experiences through honesty, softness, intimacy, confidence, and desire. LGBTQ+ representation is a natural part of her work.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Esin creates original figure drawings inspired by real women rather than impossible ideals. Working primarily in oil pastel, as well as acrylic and watercolor, she approaches each piece with curiosity instead of perfection.

Alongside her studio practice, Esin creates live wedding paintings, expressive guest portraits, workshops, and community art experiences. Across each part of Drawn to Her, her work is guided by the same belief: art can help us slow down, connect, and recognize ourselves and one another.

Esin is also a mother of two adult children and the founder of Drawn Together Kids, where children and families are encouraged to explore art with curiosity, freedom, and confidence.
